Volkswagen Launches Passat TSI & Jetta CRDE Luxury Sedan Cars in India

Volkswagen, Europe's largest car maker announced the launch of the Passat TSI and Jetta common rail diesel engine today.

The Passat 1.8 L TSI is priced at Rs. 19.20 lakhs, ex showroom New Delhi. The Jetta 2.0 L diesel Comfortline is priced at Rs. 15.92 lakhs. ex showroom, New Delhi.

The Passat will now come with the world renowned TSI Petrol Engine. This engine from Volkswagen is known for Maximum power with minimum fuel consumption. It’s a pioneering technology for Petrol engines.TSI engines are compact, high-powered and use less fuel thereby offering an enjoyable and involving drive, while cutting fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

I Can't Stop This Feeling, Deep Inside Of Me…

The other day I read a ‘tweet’ talking about a project called ‘Knit-a-Year’. I was intrigued. The recipe is basic; cast on some stitches, knit at least two rows every day using a color that fits your mood or feelings that day. If you want, you can journal or blog as a kind of documentation of your feelings, ultimately creating a personal record of the year.

I told a couple of people about the idea. I guess it’s to artsy-fartsy for the average person, especially if the person doesn’t knit or worse, isn’t creative. Then I thought about it. This idea could apply to anything that was of interest. If you read, choose a book and reflect after the amount you’ve chosen to read each day. Explore poetry and document your interpretation. If you like music listen to a new artist each day or a favorite song or a theme, like a song with Monday in the lyrics. Then reflect if you want. You could choose to try something new every day, a food, a project, an idea. You could take this idea wherever you wanted.

So I’ve decided to start this on April 1. I don’t know that I’ll write every day but I do hope to knit every day. I’ve asked a couple of people who don’t look at me like I’m one knitting needle short of a pair if they want to join me. At least they understand! So for now…

I'll just stay addicted and hope I can endure…

The New 2012 BMW 6-Series Coupe Spy Photos

BMW engineers are conducting tests 6 Series Coupé with real caution, to date we have only seen spy photos of the 6 Series Convertible and no sign of the Coupé version, but here's the first.

If we compare carefully the exterior design of the front of the convertible version of the Coupé appreciate differences in the rear side window, some obvious changes in hand knowing that one of them will be convertible. The other notable change is at the back where it seems that has already begun installing the exhaust system and light clusters that have the model when it goes on sale.

The top model will remain the M6, that instead of the V10 has today incorporate a twin-turbo V8, the same used by the X5 M and X6 M with a power exceeding 550 hp.

The Upcoming 2011 BMW X3 Cought in Alpine With Less Comouflage

Displaying the latest spy catches we have the BMW X3, we have been somewhat perplexed, and not by the shapes of the car. I think for quite some time that BMW was not so dull and predictable in their designs. Since Bangle left the discipline of Bayerische, the German brand Audi seems to follow the pattern: Sharing a design to all their cars, just scaling it to size.

And is that the X3 generalcional need a respite now, and will be bigger and better than the current car to keep out cars like the GLK or Q5, but it seems so continuous format and Selected design that perhaps this new crossover age much faster in the market than usual. Your opinion?

The New 2012 Volvo V60 With 'No Como' Part II (Metallic)

Following the launch of the S60, Volvo continues to work to surprise us with the variant Estate, under the expected name V60. The guys at Straightline has been made with photographs where Brenda Priddy has managed to capture the Swedish family as God brought the world.

And the truth is that it looks great. The roof line (and especially the cutting of the windows) give it a sporty touch, and completely vertical drop of the gate much modernized the look of this model.

Who would have thought a couple of decades ago that the house "square car which matchboxes" would end up creating sculptures of four wheels like this ... Right?

The New 2012 Volvo V60 With 'No Como' Part I (Black)

After the launch of the S60, Volvo has surprised us with a new car, the V60, which is that this shows that the Swiss brand in spite of being through the sale process in which Ford gave him all rights of Volvo Geely, the company continues to produce good cars.

The V60 is a very stylish family car, which also next to the line on your roof and cut the windows make it look like a sports complex, we realize that the gate has completely abandoned vertical which gives it a much more modern design. 

The truth is that this new V60 very surprised us as we know Volvo in the past was characterized by creating little square cars, especially family sedans that were almost identical but this model is totally different, very risky but at the same time very elegant and unique.

The New 2011 BMW Alpina B5 Spy Photos

Although the family sedan and the new 5 Series has already been submitted, Alpina is still testing the powerful B5 on the roads near Munich.

The B5 is a tough opponent for the next M5, as all the rumors suggest, the strength of B5 could be close to 550 hp, but as usual within the world of spy shots are all guesses until official confirmation . 

From what we can be sure of is that external changes will add a plus of play and aggression to the 5 Series, a change that will focus on the tires and bumpers, both front and rear.

Will Power wins at St. Pete

Team Penske captured their second victory of the young 2010 IZOD IndyCar Series season, with driver Will Power taking his second consecutive checkered flag. Power started from the pole and was nearly flawless throughout the postponed 100 lap race. This race was orginally scheduled for Sunday at 3:30 p.m., but had to be moved to Monday at 10 EST due to severe thunderstorms. Several fans took advantage of free admission for the delayed race, and a festive crowd saw an action packed race. Maruti Suzuki Celebrates Production of 1 Million Cars this FY

Suzuki Motor Corporation’s Indian subsidiary, Maruti Suzuki, has held a ceremony at its Manesar plant in the state of Haryana to celebrate production of one million cars in the fiscal year through March 2010.

Attendees at the ceremony included Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Indian Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Vilasrao Deshmukh, Ambassador of Japan to India Hideaki Domichi, Maruti Suzuki Chairman RC Bhargava, and Suzuki Motor Corporation Chairman and CEO, Osamu Suzuki.

Osamu Suzuki commented: “Maruti Suzuki is Suzuki Motor Corporation’s biggest subsidiary, and its production has reached a volume comparable with that of our operations in Japan. The Indian market can be expected to continue growing, so Suzuki Motor Corporation will make every effort to enable Maruti Suzuki to offer cars with even higher quality at affordable prices. Competition in India is going to intensify, so we look to our partners here to work with us and support us more closely than ever.”

Maruti Suzuki also looks set to top one million units in terms of overall sales (sales in India and exports) this fiscal year.

5 Lakh Bajaj Discover DTS-Si Sold in 225 Days by Bajaj Bikes

Bajaj Auto new offering in the 100cc segment, the Discover DTS-Si, has sold a record 500,000 numbers in 225 days of its launch. The bike which was launched in July 2009 has ossibly set a new benchmark for any bike to reach a record 500,000 numbers within the shortest span of time. It has also attained the leadership in states like West Bengal and entire North East region by becoming the highest selling brand in the overall two-wheeler category.

The company has already ramped up the production from current 75,000 units to 1 lakh units per month to meet the overwhelming demand. Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg Postponed

The second race of the 2010 IZOD IndyCar season was postponed due to inclement weather. Strong storms and standing water throughout the 1.8 mile street course were the deciding factors. The season opener for Firestone Indy Lights was cut short due to the incoming weather, rookie J.K. Vernay of Sam Schmidt Motorsports took home the victory. Conor Daly, son of former F1 and IndyCar driver, Derek Daly, captured a victory in the Star Mazda Championship. The Star Mazda sereis is the middle level of the Road to Indy ladder system.

The IZOD IndyCar race will start at 10 A.M. EST tomorrow, and be carried on ESPN 2.

The 2011 (2012) Ford Explorer Spy Photos

Ford presented in a very short time (may be in New York) to the expected and entirely new Explorer. In the spy photos we can see that this exciting American SUV took the design of their brothers (Fusion, F-Series, Edge, etc.), In which I personally believe that its aesthetic is very well accomplished (perception based on these images) .

The data are zero in this model, yet. But seeing these pictures we can confirm is almost like the new Explorer. Its code name U502.
 

The engine consists of the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder 230 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque, the 3.5-liter V6, and a direct-injection twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 will be presented later.

Inside there is no image data, but is expected to incorporate the new technology of the American company (the system MyFord and others), as well as incorporating a new row of seats. A variant is expected Sport Trac and a few surprises in the future.
