Toy Car, Toy Car, Toy Car!

Do you remember when you were a kid and your only car worry was where you were going to imagine driving to today? Unfortunately, the cars we drive today are not quite as resilient as those (although I broke my share of Hot Wheels in my day). Today, when a car breaks down it many times takes a highly skilled mechanic with very expensive diagnostic equipment to work out the problem.

While we have a large contingent of customers who work on their own vehicles, we also have MANY shops and garages that utilize our low prices and fast shipping to give their customers the best service possible. Being a mechanic is not as easy as it once was. Many are shop owners, wrench turners, depression counselors and accountants all rolled up into one. If you find a good one that will treat you like a partner, hang onto them!

Once that hard part is done, here is the easy one... add Autopartstomorrow.com to the equation to maximize the experience for both of you. Quick delivery and great prices will make your car repair process smooth and pain free!

I Just Can't Afford The Repair Cost?

In times like these many are having to deal with the very real impact of issues such as this. The car you need to take you back and forth to work first started acting up, and then quit running altogether. The mechanic has identified what is needed, but between what he is charging for labor and the cost of the auto parts needed it is just too much.

It's time to get creative. This is where Autopartstomorrow.com can help out. Our wholesale pricing is typically LESS than what your mechanic has been buying the parts for. Once you find what you need with the help of one of our parts experts at 1-800-547-2052 you can either install it yourself if you have the know-how or ask your mechanic to help out at a pre-agreed to labor only job fee. Believe me, the way things are you will not be the first one who has asked for help. He may say no, but his business has been impacted as well, and any job is better than none. Even if he says no he may be able to suggest someone else who may be able to help.

We are all figuring out new ways to get things done. Our low price, straight from the warehouse distributor business model is new. Creativity, and the willingness to help are always in demand. That is why we will be here for years to come. Everyone we help today will tell a friend tomorrow... If you know what I mean ;-)

Auto Parts Safety

At Autopartstomorrow.com we have a large following of DIYer's who purchase our auto parts wholesale and then do the installation work themselves. That is truly a big money saver. However, we want to make sure everyone who makes this attempt is doing it safely.

DO NOT ATTEMPT REPAIRS LIKE THE FOOLS IN THE PICTURE ABOVE!!!

I will link to a Popular Mechanics article a little later but let me emphasize one point they make... work on vehicles only on a flat, level, paved surface and NEVER get under a car that is up on a floor jack without also using jack stands! While the jack may do the job of lifting a car just fine, there are too many opportunities for something to go wrong for anyone to risk getting crushed under a car while trying to save money.

Now for that link... Popular Mechanics has always been one of my favorite magazines and I am find that it is becoming a go-to site for great stories about car repair and maintenance. Check out this story on Garage Safety, and please be careful when working on your car.

If Money is a Factor...

The recent article by AAA stating 25% of the American public would have problems paying to repair their vehicle comes as no surprise to us here at Autopartstomorrow. We hear from our customers every day about how much they were quoted for a repair, and how they were greatly relieved to find us on the internet.

Problems with the economy have long been known to bring about real change in the business environment. When everything is going great, anyone who has a company (for the most part) can make money. But when things go bad, only those companies that are well run, financially sound, and cater strongly to their customers can survive. At Autopartstomorrow we are not only surviving, but we are expanding rapidly! Our business model based on allowing the general public access to our wholesale auto parts inventories, at real wholesale pricing, is one that is greatly needed during times of stress.

Take the example from the AAA article. People were asked how they would handle a $2000 car repair. I don't know about you, but my first reaction would be to pass out. When I awoke I would get to the internet as fast as I could and search for some alternative. That is where we are getting our growth from. First it comes from the consumer that buys his auto parts from us at about half of what it would have been otherwise. Second it comes from the mechanic that agrees to install that part at a discount to keep his shop busy... and finds that our prices are better than even he has been paying for the same parts. Then finally it comes from each of them asking their friends, "Have you heard of Autopartstomorrow.com?"

I love working here because we are offering a genuine solution for peoples troubles. There are enough other things around to worry about. We want to help you keep your car on the road so you can keep working towards overcoming those other things. We will all get through this recession... we just need to remember to help others, get creative with our finances and work to make things better, one day at a time.

Buy Auto Parts, Save Money

With the economy the way it is many people are trying to get by without making needed auto repairs. One of the reasons is that auto parts can be very expensive. That is why Autopartstomorrow.com works so hard to keep our prices down. Sometimes the difference between making the needed repair and trying to do without can be fairly small (like your paycheck). We make every attempt to keep auto parts affordable, within reach of the average person who needs their car repaired.

Not making that auto repair will sometimes prove to be dangerous. We sell wiper motors cheap! What we don't want to happen is for someone like picture "A" above, to turn into picture "B" below. Do yourself a favor and check out our site so you can get your auto repair done tomorrow and save the headache (and keep people from making fun of your car).

Auto Parts For Your Shop

Get the Parts You Need When You Need Them

Running an auto repair shop today is no walk in the park, the cars have become extremely complex, parts no longer interchange and your customers have about as much patience as a ten year old with ADD. This is not a pretty picture and when you have to call a customer to tell them that they are not going to be seeing their car for a few days because you can't get the parts you need, the picture can get very ugly.

Cars may have changed, but people never change and everybody wants their car repaired yesterday and they want it done practically for free. So when you have to call a customer and tell them that either there car is going to be sitting for a few days because no one in the area has the parts you need to fix or that the price is going to high because the only parts in the area are seriously overpriced, you better hold the phone away from your ear.

When you find yourself in this position, it seems that no matter which way you turn, you are going to come out looking like the bad guy. Such is the way it is when you run an auto repair facility. A recent poll showed that the only place people hated going to more than to have their car fixed was to the dentist. Not much of a distinction in this, is there? Fortunately there is something you can do to get the parts you need in a hurry and at prices that your customers won't mind paying quite so much.

As you have probably already noticed, the Internet has changed the way the world shops for just about anything they want or need. While this might not necessarily be good for a number of local businesses, it has made it much easier for us to find the things we want at prices that we can afford to pay. The best part is that we can do all of this with the click of a mouse sitting at home or in the office. It only stands to reason then that the automotive parts industry would turn to this medium to sell their parts.

The Internet retail world has grown to span literally millions of online retailers, many of which do not even have a physical location. Today you can buy practically anything you could ever need online from ant farms to zoology books and millions of items in between. Not only can you buy everything you are likely to ever need, you can buy it for far less than you can in your local stores, even if you have to pay for shipping.

So what does this have to do with getting that anti-lock brake control module you need for the Caddy in the third bay? If you look online, you are going to find thousands of online automotive parts retailers who all claim to have the best parts and the lowest prices. Does this mean that you should buy your parts from the first site you come across that has the parts you need? Definitely not, you are going to need to look very carefully at these retailers and be prepared to do a little research first.

Not all online auto parts retailers are created equal and you are going to have try and sort out the good ones from the bad. You are going to find that some have large inventories, some have low prices and others offer excellent customer service. The hard part is finding one online auto parts dealer that is going to be a combination of all three.

What you really need is an online parts retailer that has prices that are in keeping with your budget. These days your customers are watching their pennies more closely than ever before, so you need to be able to buy top quality parts at prices that are low enough that you can pass them on to your customers. Even more importantly, you need a supplier that is going to ship your parts to you in a timely manner so that your customers' cars are not sitting for days on end.

At Auto Parts Tomorrow you will always find the parts you need in stock and ready to ship directly to your shop. With 30 trained professional auto parts personnel on staff to ensure that the right parts are always pulled, you can shop with full confidence. We also guarantee overnight shipping on all orders over $50 along the eastern half of the country and prices that are 30% lower than our competitors.

Help For Your Auto Repair Shop is Here, Tomorrow

The Right Brands, The Right Auto Parts, Tomorrow

As if the insane amount of money you have to spend keeping your technicians trained in the latest diagnostic skills is not expensive enough, you still have to deal with the fact that your local auto parts never has the parts you need. This is typical of the auto repair industry and no matter how many different dealerships and auto parts stores you happen to have in your local area, they never seem to have all of the parts you need to keep your customers' cars on the road.

You might think that given the extremely high tech nature of today's cars that your customers might be a bit more understanding when you have to tell them that no one has the part needed to fix their car and that it could take several days to find. Sadly like every other facet of their hurried lives, the last thing the vast majority of your customers want to hear is that they are going to be without their precious car for more than a few hours.

The average car owner wants their car repaired yesterday even though they just brought it in for repairs today. This has to be one of the biggest headaches any repair shop has to deal with as no matter how qualified their technicians are, if they cannot get the parts needed to complete the repairs, then their customers' cars are going to have to sit out on the lot until the local parts store decides that they can get around to getting you the parts that you need.

Today you will find that you no longer have to deal with local parts stores that never have the parts you need or the dealerships in your area that have the parts, but want to charge you and arm and a leg for them. Not only do you end up paying far too much buying your parts this way, you are going to have a hard time explaining to your customers why their bills are just shy of highway robbery. Neither of these situations is particularly good.

However, just because you are able to shop on the Internet does not mean that all online auto parts sites are the same. Just as much as you would want to know that a regular bricks and mortar parts store is going to deliver on their promise, you need to know that the online store you are thinking about dealing with is going to do the same. The last thing you need is to end dealing with an online parts retailer that is going to sell you junk and take forever to deliver it.

While price is not everything and as you have no doubt found, in many cases when you pay the lowest possible price for the parts you need, you live to regret it. The problem with buying those ultra-cheap parts is that the vast majority of them are made offshore by companies that have little regard for the quality of their parts and in many cases are making knock offs that end up not fitting properly or in many cases at all. This leaves you sitting with a worthless piece of junk on your hands and a customer's car that is still waiting for the right parts to complete the repair.

At Auto Parts Tomorrow we realized what was going on in the automotive parts retail industry and set out to do something about. The first thing we did was to look at the two biggest problems that the average auto repair shop had to deal with. First the high cost of the parts that they needed to complete the repairs on their customers' cars and secondly the inability to get the parts they needed in a hurry. To solve this we located sources of top name replacement parts, many of the OEM parts, that could provide them to us at rock bottom prices we could pass on to our customers. This way you can buy the parts you need from us with full confidence that they will be the right part, will fit properly and that they are going to work.

The next thing the team here at Auto Parts Tomorrow did was to set up a system by which you can order the parts you need and have them on your doorstep in one business day. As long as you are located on the eastern half of the country, we guarantee that you parts will be shipped overnight as long as you order by 5pm, within certain restriction. This will help you to keep your customers more than satisfied.

Car Maintenance Is Important !!

Ask any auto mechanic... the cars that have not been cleaned in forever, probably haven't had the oil changed in longer than that. Something about pride of ownership just makes people take care of things from top to bottom. It is something you should consider when you are looking at cars to buy from an individual. While you will probably get a better deal on the car as far as price is concerned, you might also have a potential problem with repairs sooner than you would want.

Now far be it from me, an auto parts salesman, to try to talk you out of buying a car that needs repairs, but it does need to be something you think about. With this in mind, I typically buy the dirtiest cars around. One of the benefits of being in the auto parts field is that I can get auto repairs done much cheaper than most others can. I can also identify which repair might be needed and which auto part it would need. I can buy a dirty run down car (without dents or tears in the upholstery) and put my blood, sweat and tears into fixing it up. Then I can drive it for a year or two and sell it for the same thing I bought it for. It is not the path I would suggest for everyone, but it works pretty well for me.

Car Maintenance Tips

I say it over and over again, but it bears repeating; Just because I (you) know how to do something does not automatically mean that everyone else does. I find in many areas of my life, when confronted by something new, the person I am dealing with begins their explanation at a level that may be beyond my basic understanding. I am an Electronic Commerce Manager which puts me in that "Computer Guy" territory, but if someone asks me how to set up a virtual network for a server farm my eyes are going to glaze over just like yours.

Sometimes in the auto industry we make assumptions that because someone uses the term alternator it immediately means they know what it looks like, how to diagnose problems with the electrical system, whether it needs a new voltage regulator or the whole assembly, and how to make the needed repairs (especially if it is a male we are speaking with). There are varying levels of understanding what is needed to maintain your car, and increasingly fewer and fewer people are doing the work themselves. I fall into the half and half crowd in that I know how to do many of the minor repairs (from experience), but I choose to allow someone else to do most of them because of time and laziness.

There are many people out there who have basic mechanical skills but may have never done the repair they need right now. I have found a great resource online that will help get beyond that obstacle. EHow.com has a Car Repair an Maintenance section that has numerous How-To articles and videos that will walk you through how to do most of the basic car repairs you might need. Every car will be slightly different so you might need to use some modifications of their instructions, but since the basic job is the same it should be pretty easy to use logic to understand the differences. If you are willing to take some time to learn and buy your auto parts online from us, you can save yourself HUGE amounts of money over the life of your car. While we specialize in wholesale GM parts and Ford parts, you can get auto parts for just about every late model vehicle sold in the US. Do a little work, save a little money... we could all learn to do more of that couldn't we?

Auto Parts for an Opel GT

One of my first learning experiences pertaining to auto parts was during High School when I worked at a full service Chevron gas station in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Back then, service stations not only pumped your gas but would also perform oil changes, tire balancing and rotation, and many other full service auto mechanic car repairs. My job was mainly the light service work, oil changes, pump the gas, collect the money and beginning service writer duties. When someone would drop off their car for repair, I would write their information on the ticket and ask as many related questions as possible so the mechanic could trouble shoot their auto repair as quickly as possible. (Remember- No Cell Phones for quick contact) After the mechanic determined what the issue was, he would give me a list of parts needed and I would call around to try to find them and get the auto parts prices.

A local customer had a really cool 1970 Opel GT, baby blue, with a "When I grow up I want to be a Corvette" bumper sticker. The downside was that it was constantly broken down, parked on the curb and waiting for special order parts that might, or might not, help get it back on the road for another week or two. Although it was a beautiful car, I learned that there are just some cars where the repair cost and availability of auto parts make them fall into my "Cost too much to own" category.

It is funny how certain aspects of our jobs make their way into our everyday life. Since that time I have always considered repair cost and availability of auto parts as a factor in which vehicle to buy. It is probably why I now consider a car to be a functional item rather than a vanity purchase. I suppose I would look at it differently if I had gobs of disposable cash, but for now I will continue to buy used cars that are inexpensive to repair... and drive them until it is time to call the wrecker to pull it to the local "Pull a Part" location.
