CSS - La Liberación (album stream)


CSS is a Brazilian rock band from São Paulo. The band was labeled as part of the explosion of the New Rave scene. Their songs are in both English and Portuguese. CSS is an abbreviation for Cansei de Ser Sexy, literally "got tired of being sexy" in Portuguese.

In less than two weeks, CSS will be releasing La Liberación, the band's first studio album since 2008's Donkey. We've already been given a taste of the album with the track "Hits Me Like A Rock," but now, in the player below, you can stream the upcoming studio effort, out on August 29th via Cooperative Music, in its entirety.

Musically, Pat has worked within and appropriated a number of styles into his sound, from his early days singing with that heavenly voice as a choir boy to his more recent forays into laptop-assisted indie-pop made in his bedroom, best exemplified on 2010’s acclaimed Curtis Lane EP. From The Ashes... #LabelLove for [PIAS]-Distributed Artists


Over one million CD and vinyl releases were destroyed early last week when a North London warehouse [Sony DADC/PIAS] that operates on behalf of some 165 or so labels burned to the ground during the London riots. Some of the finest independent music-providers around were seriously financially hurt by the fire, and so we've decided to join the campaign to encourage people to buy what they can from the affected labels by collecting some of their finest releases of 2011 so far into one SoundCloud playlist.
