Fiat Cars to Launch Cheap Small Car in India Next Year

Fiat Cars is planning for the new launch of cheaper hatchback small car model in the Indian market next year. Encouraging sales of the Fiat Punto and the Fiat Linea have prompted Fiat India plans for this new car. Fiat Cars tie-up with Tata Motors has indeed breathed a new lease of life into the manufacturer's India plans.

Recent launches by Fiat is its small car Fiat 500. Fiat went on to sell 64 units till date - Price Rs. 15 lakh for a small car. Its very tough for a car manufacturer to sell small car on hight price thats why they are thinking about launching a small car in Rs 3 - 3.5 lakh range.

Fiat India Automobiles president and chief executive officer Rajeev Kapoor said "We are working on a small car which will be launched either by end of next year or early 2012. We are essentially a small car player which we tried to change with Linea but our strength is still in small cars. That will work in our favour when we introduce the small car which will be a benchmark car for Fiat."

Fiat is also planning and working on a brand new Fiat Linea for the Indian market. Fiat have plans to launch it with newer engine (high-power 1.4 turbo charged gasoline engine) options later this year.

Everybody Plays The Fool…Sometime

So it’s April 1, 2010, April Fool’s day. On this day people typically pull jokes, hopefully harmless, on their friends and relatives. How this custom came about is still a mystery. There are several theories, according to Snopes. Whatever the origin, I’m glad I didn’t have to leave the house today…just in case!

I don’t feel too good today. Actually I haven’t for the last three days, at least. Bad heartburn. Wake you up in the night heartburn. Sit up and sleep heartburn. And nothing is kicking it. I already take a little purple pill but I’ve been eating antacids too. Then someone told me it’s a warning sign for a heart attack in women. That was reassuring! So who knows?

So what kind of yarn goes with a stomach ache? My first thought is green. Or maybe it should be a red. The green spoke louder. This yarn is a combination of wool, alpaca and Donegal tweed and the color is Toad. It’s from a scarf for a dear childhood friend who lives in Alaska. I’m still working on the scarf but since it is Alaska, and probably cold a lot of the time, maybe he’ll get some use out of it! I may make a matching hat. Maybe.

Volkswagen Launches Passat TSI & Jetta CRDE Luxury Sedan Cars in India

Volkswagen, Europe's largest car maker announced the launch of the Passat TSI and Jetta common rail diesel engine today.

The Passat 1.8 L TSI is priced at Rs. 19.20 lakhs, ex showroom New Delhi. The Jetta 2.0 L diesel Comfortline is priced at Rs. 15.92 lakhs. ex showroom, New Delhi.

The Passat will now come with the world renowned TSI Petrol Engine. This engine from Volkswagen is known for Maximum power with minimum fuel consumption. It’s a pioneering technology for Petrol engines.TSI engines are compact, high-powered and use less fuel thereby offering an enjoyable and involving drive, while cutting fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Commenting on the launch of Passat & Jetta, Mr. Neeraj Garg, Member of Board and Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt.
