Ambient Rubber Crumb (mechanically produced)

DDR Recycling offer a range of mechanically produced granulated rubber crumb to the market at preferential market rates.

DDR provide rubber crumb by internationally recognised size grade. A detailed sieve analysis of product is provided in advance of shipment, with all materials supplied to conform to its description within agreed thresholds. Our material is predominantly produced using car tyres, although some truck tyre content may be present.

Material composition can vary according to material source however all DDR produced ambient rubber crumb will conform to the following technical specification, unless by prior request/agreement:

Moisture Content: <1%
Metal Content: <0.08%
Fabric Content: <0.5%
Carbon Black Content: >28%
Rubber Hyrdocarbon Content: >50%
Acetone Extract Content: <12%

DDR offer a wide range of rubber crumb material within internationally recognised size criteria. The principle materials offered for sale are:

2.0mm - 4.0mm

(5 to 10 Mesh - 90% of material retained between 4.00mm and 2.00mm sieves)

0.5mm - 2.0mm

(12 to 45 Mesh - 90% of material retained between 1.68mm and 0.354mm sieves)

25 to 60 Mesh

(90% of material retained between 0.707mm and 0.250mm sieves)

80 Mesh

(90% of material passes through a 0.177mm sieve)

120 Mesh

(90% of material passes through a 0.125 mm sieve)
140 to 200 Mesh
(90% of material retained between 0.105mm and 0.063mm sieves)

Other material size grades are available on request.

For the purpose of sales, DDR classifies all material within a millimetre, or Mesh size, range between which at least 90% of all material will be retained. Where rubber crumb is provided by a specific Mesh size 90% of material will pass through a sieve of this size.
